Abstract

A fair number of scientific studies have investigated possible links between arteriovenous fistulas and heart failure, in some cases with consolidated results but in some cases with conflicting results. Other issues, such as right heart failure, were investigated in a marginal way. This survey presents a quick overview of the literature in recent years and raises some outstanding questions on cardionefrologia. (Cardionephrology)
