Barbara Bartolini, MD

 With a degree in Biological Sciences, Barbara Bartolini – class of 1978 – acquired international experience in managing research projects, developing strong skills in delivering on time, within budget.  Her main research interest is in glycobiology, as she performed research on hyaluronan, dermatan sulfate and heparan sulfate, oxidation specific epitopes and atherosclerosis. Barbara also has a strong background in cell biology, especially in cell migration and motility. She is an experienced scientific writer and communicator (30 publications, peer reviewer for 3 scientific journals) and writes enthusiastically about science, nutrition, health and clinical studies in general. Through her PhD studies,  she has mastered critical thinking, resiliency and cross-functional collaborations, sustaining her main goal:  deliver scientific contents in the clearest way, helping other people do the same.
