Circulating biomarkers in oncology
Cancer biomarkers are critical to the implementation of precision oncology and are useful for understanding cancer pathogenesis and its response to different treatment modalities. We encourage the submission of original research articles, comprehensive reviews, and insightful case studies on the following topics, but not limited to:
- Discovery and validation studies on free, extracellular vesicle- or cell-bound circulating cancer biomarkers
- Mechanisms of biomarker release and determinants of their half-life and clearance.
- Reciprocal interaction of cancer biomarkers with the tumor immune microenvironment
- Technological and methodological advances, including innovative detection and isolation techniques and in silico methods for biomarker analysis
- Clinical trials involving circulating biomarkers, regulatory and ethical considerations
- Implementation of circulating biomarkers, novel devices, and detection methods into clinical practice.
